How lazy am i ?

Thought a quick visit here would be a great idea.
Been trying my hand at screen printing and waiting for a hip replacement fingers crossed it will happen within the next couple of months. Believe me when i say i cant wait, those with arthritus in the hip will know what i am on about arggg.........

I have some of my skirts in a  Chic Boutique in Buninyong....

Had a little success......

This skirt has cute pink skirt with floral fabric ric rac edge striped under-layer.

The waist band has elastic, the pink fabric for the top of the skirt is stretch.

This skirt is made up of two contrasting fabrics Tattoo Love Rose Heart pink background,Tribal Heart Love blue background, with added ruffle and black lace edge.

The waistband is made from ribbing fabric which has been doubled over the skirt is an easy fit 

 This skirt is made up of stretch striped fabric for the top with elasticized waist for comfort, the top layer is is PUNKER skull grey burnout knit jersey fabric, the middle layer is a cotton red check pattern, this skirt has a black under layer

 This skirt has cute white fabric with red lip designs with red striped under-layer.

The waist band has elastic, the red fabric for the top of the skirt is stretch.

Creating from scratch and tulle

I had an idea to create a cute little purse using some heavy duck cloth which i purchased long ago.

SO after some cutting hand painting hand stamping i think the resulting purse turned out pretty cute.

from some purple tulle came a tutu style women skirt .

The skirt has 4 layers of tulle the longest being 33cm and shortest being 25 cm, the layers have been pleated and attached to an elasticated black stretch cotton fabric waistband when stretched measures 99 cm, with each layer being edged with black lace. I have sewn lace and purple ribbon around top of tulle layers.

 just have to make a small version for my granddaughter

Its been a while

Well i have not visited my blog for a while, so hello here i am.

2012 has been a rather sad year so far my mum is in hospital, and sadly one of my brothers passed away suddenly at the age of 51.

His memory will live on forever.....

I am still sewing, maybe not as much as i would like to but i think i need to now get into it....

Some latest creations are...A couple of cute skirt, cherries, pins and badges....

I made some badges on the second skirt, just for fun...

I think i will make this year more productive..... well i will try...

well i haven't been here for a while i finally got motivated and created a new dress....

Revamped ALine skirts....

Well decided the lace had to go from a few of my ALine skirts....
These two images show the skirt as they orginally looked...

 And this image is how they look now i think they look pretty cute ......

The fabrics are all cotton with spots, stripes, skulls, crosses and a little bit of lace thrown in....

Slouchy Little Hobo Bag

With the black market behind me it is time to get creative....

I had some fabric which i meant to make myself a coat but have decided it would look kind of cool as a bag, so the  Slouchy Little Hobo Bag has been created....

You can either wear you hobo short or sling it over with the longer length strap, the strap is a continuous circle through the reinforced ends of the bag.

The inside of the hobo bag is lined with black shantung; there is also a pocket inside the bag

Huge Sunflower

went along to the Ballarat Community Garden Annual Harvest Festival, how amazing are those vegie plots make me want to get into mine...

But what really impressed me was this huge sunflower seed head , that is my sisters hand on it, amazing.

Been to Porland .....

Well i spent the weekend in Portland, was not sure what to expect but i must so i had a rather excellent time.
One of the highlights would have to be the Maremma dogs, they are used to guard a colony of nesting gannet birds at Point Danger near Portland, however i think the dogs must get a bit lonely....but a beautiful dog....below are some of the photos i took.

Must try this again, i thinks it turned out really well
